  • Goranka Bjedov - FACEBOOK
    Known for her technical achievements and her refreshing wit, Goranka Bjedov has planned and implemented product testing and has been responsible for risk analysis and assessment for the past five years.

    Her current testing interests include both server and client-side performance, robustness and scalability testing for web-based applications.

    Before Facebook, Goranka held senior test engineering positions at Google, Network appliance and AT&T labs. Previously, she was an associate Professor in the School of engineering at Purdue university. A speaker at numerous testing and performance conferences, Goranka also has authored many papers, presentations, and two textbooks.

  • Julian Harty - EBAY
    Julian Harty was hired by ebay in August 2010 to help revamp testing across the organization, to significantly improve the effectiveness and relevance of testing. Since then he learned plenty about testing techniques that work, some that dont, and ways that automation can help. In the process, Julian started writing and sharing material with others who were interested in testing mobile software. That work has been shared at workshops and tutorials around the world, and the test automation techniques ended up being published as a book and now online.

    Julian is an active contributor to several open-source testing and development projects.

  • Evan Weaver - TWITTER
    Evan Weaver is currently Twitter's architect.

    In his 3 years at Twitter, he has also been a performance engineer, technical lead, and engineering manager, at one point running the largest engineering team in Twitter.

    He specializes in scalability and distributed systems, and is a noted Ruby on Rails performance expert.

    Before Twitter, he worked at CNET Networks and SAP AG.

    Simon Stewart lives in London and works as a Software Engineer in Test at Google.

    His Open Source contributions centre on Selenium and WebDriver, the browser automation projects becoming Selenium 2.

  • Tom Hughes-Croucher - JOYENT
    Tom Hughes-Croucher has been working in the Internet industry ever since he started working. He has contributed to a number of standards on Web technology for standards bodies such as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the British Standards Institute (BSI). More recently he worked in the Digital Music business providing digital music solutions to well known UK brands like Tesco, Three telecom and Channel 4.

    Tom previously worked for Yahoo! as a technical evangelist. Specializing in front-end web technology and RESTful web services, he likes to promote best practice wherever he can.Before that he looked after the European Frontpages serving many millions of European visitors a month.

    Tom is now working at Joyent as Chief Evangelist and also the author of the O'Reilly book "Up and Running with Node.js"

  • Dounia Berrada - GOOGLE
    Dounia is a Software Engineer at Google since 2008 where she has been working on Mobile tools and infrastructure.

    As part of her role she contributes heavily to the Open Source project WebDriver (http://selenium.googlecode.com), focusing on implementing the mobile components of the browser automation framework.

    Dounia has also been working on cloud infrastructure for Android web tests using WebDriver.

    Dounia has a Masters degree from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta) in Computer Science, and a Masters from University of Technology of Compiegne (France), where she also graduated from a Bachelor with honors.
